Southwest Airlines
Because Southwest flies to a remarkable number of refuge hub cities, from Las Vegas to Harlingen to Portland to Milwaukee to Panama City – and because they offer both unparalleled flexibility and team spirit – Southwest Airlines is the official airline of the National Wildlife Refuge Association.
Read our press release and profile of NWRA President Evan Hirsche in Southwest's "Spirit" Magazine to learn why we chose Southwest as our official airline.
In celebration of Earth Day and National Volunteer Week in 2010, Southwest and NWRA teamed up to introduce Southwest employee volunteers to the wonders and wilds near Southwest’s Florida cities. Whether planting trees or cleaning up beaches, Southwest employees donated their elbow grease to improving wildlife habitat. We look forward to many more such partnerships at refuges across the country.
Southwest is also an official sponsor of the National Wildlife Refuge Association's "Wildlife Refuge Photography Contest."
Southwest Airlines’ Share the Spirit program embodies the culture of positive impact in the communities it serves – demonstrated through Southwest’s charitable giving, employee volunteerism, and community relations pro grams.
