TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON USE OF SUBMITTED IMAGES

Before uploading a photo to our site, carefully read the following terms and conditions for submitted images and their use. You must have read, understood and accepted these terms before you can submit an entry.

Photographs will be accepted only from the original photographer.

You must be the sole author and the owner of the copyright in all photos you enter.

Photographers must have sufficient permission of any recognizable persons appearing in the photograph to be able to grant rights to display the photographic submission online or in printed materials.

Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. However, by submitting an image for entry in this contest, you automatically shall and hereby do (a) give NWRA a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license without charge to reproduce and display the image in any electronic, optical, physical, or other medium, to modify its size and resolution, and to use your name as the photographer, indefinitely in any media without notification or compensation; and (b) dedicate the low-resolution images to the public domain through the NWRA's web-site as explained in the following two paragraphs.

All entries selected for inclusion in the NWRA Refuge Image Library will be published online in a searchable image gallery and made available for public download at 72 dpi at a size 4x6 inches. We will create thumbnails and a medium size image for easier viewing.

Photographers may provide additional information for images in the online gallery, such as an email or website address, to allow contact by those seeking further information or a higher resolution image.

A print quality copy of any image chosen for the Refuge Image Library may be used, with appropriate attribution, in NWRA publications (such as newsletters or reports) without further notification, although NWRA will make an effort to notify the photographer prior to the first print use of the image.

NWRA will not release the print quality files for print use by others.

Images will remain in NWRA's Refuge Image Library indefinitely at NWRA's discretion.
