National Wildlife Refuge Association Friends List Serve

What is It?

The NWRA listserve is an online forum for discussing topics among volunteers and supporters of the National Wildlife Refuge System. Each list subscriber and only list subscribers can post messages to the listserve on any topic of interest to other refuge supporters. The result is a lively conversation with hundreds of people just like you! If you want to subscribe send an email to: friendsmoderator@refugenet.org

How Does It Work?

You post a message by sending an e-mail to: nwrafriends@refugenet.org

This message might be a question about a public activity you are thinking of having on your refuge, a request for ideas for a fund-raising campaign or for opinions on a membership drive, a report on how well your Refuge Week event went last weekend, etc.

Please use discretion when determining what is and is not appropriate data traffic for this list.

Remember:

  • E-mails addressed to nwrafriends@refugenet will go to all members of the list
  • Include "nwrafriends" in the subject line of any email you send to the listserve
  • Only subscribers can post to the list
  • Members can respond to the sender only by replying to the e-mail or send a post for all members to read by addressing a reply to nwrafriends@refugenet.org
  • Any other member can add input and insight by posting a new message or answering an old one
  • This creates a dynamic exchange of ideas enabling Friends groups to learn from and assist each other!

In addition, the list serve allows NWRA's Washington Office and Regional Representatives to contact Friends Groups in a timely manner.

It is our hope that the Friends list serve will provide a positive forum for programming, developmental, and technical assistance - empowering you to continue your efforts to protect and enhance your local refuge.
